"A state of mind resulting from romantic attraction, characterised by feelings of euphoria and the desire to have one's feelings reciprocated."
As an artist, I find my inspiration in the natural world. The ebb and flow of the ocean and the organic patterns of nature have a mesmerizing effect on our senses, and I strive to capture this abstract language in my paintings. Through my art, I invite the viewer to immerse themselves in a sensory experience that transports them straight into the arms of nature.
My work reflects my dedication to the principles of Japanese aesthetics, particularly Wabi Sabi and Ma. Wabi Sabi celebrates the beauty of impermanence and imperfection, concepts that are deeply rooted in the natural world. Meanwhile, Ma refers to negative space and allows me to create spaces between forms, areas of quiet, and emptiness, similar to the pauses between sentences. These negative spaces enable the viewer to appreciate the subtle beauty of the piece while adding a sense of depth and complexity.
Overall, my paintings celebrate the natural world and draw upon the rich traditions of Japanese aesthetics. They reflect my commitment to creating art that speaks to the senses and inspires a deeper connection to nature
